What is skin cancer?

Signs and Symptoms Basal cell carcinoma

It occurs in sun-exposed areas of the body like the face, ears or scalp. It is as follows: –

• Gleaming or waxy bump
• flat, flesh-colored or brown scar-like lesion

Signs and symptoms of squamous cell carcinoma

It occurs on sun-exposed areas of the body like the face, lips, ears and hands. It is as follows: –

• Firm, red nodule
• Flat lesion with a scaly, crusted surface

Signs and Symptoms of Melanoma

This type of cancer occurs on any body part. In men it appears on the trunk, head and neck in orr Women are more likely to occur in the lower legs. It occurs on the body parts that are not exposed to sunlight. It can affect people of all skin tones. In people with darker skin tones, melanoma tends to occur on the palms or soles, or under the toenails.

Melanoma following signs:

• Large brownish spot with darker markings
• Mole that changes color, size or feel or that bleeds
• small lesion with an irregular border and parts that appear in red, white, blue or blue-black
• Dark lesions on your palms, soles of feet, fingers or toes or on the mucous membranes lining the mouth, nose, vagina or anus.

Kaposi's sarcoma – occurs in blood vessels of the skin and causes red or purple patches on the skin or mucous membranes. It is more likely to occur in people who tend to be less immune.

Merkel cell carcinoma – it appears as firm, shiny nodules that occur on or just under the skin and in hair follicles. It occurs on sun-exposed areas on the head, neck, arms and legs.

sebaceous gland carcinoma – This is a rare type of cancer that starts in the sebaceous glands of the skin. He usually appear as hard, painful nodules and can grow anywhere, but mostly it occurs on the eyelid.

New technique invented for the treatment of skin cancer
