HPV transmission?
If I kiss a man’s thighs and lower abdomen, but not his penis, and he is infected with HPV, can I get warts on my lips and face? B/c there are so many different strands of this virus, does it need genitalia to pass that certain virus, or what?
Just wondering how that would work.
Genital HPV is passed on through genital contact, most often during vaginal and anal sex. A person can have HPV even if years have passed since he or she had sex. Most infected persons do not realize they are infected or that they are passing the virus to a sex partner.
HPV lives in the genitals, intercourse in not necessary to pass on the virus. However you can not pass it from his thigh to your lips, HPV cannot live in these areas. If there is a wart on a different type of the body (other than the genitals) those are caused by a completely different strain usually the same ones that cause plantar warts.
