I have genital warts, can I still have cancer of the cervix?

I have the HPV that cause genital warts. Before you say I talk to my doctor about this, I have an appointment for Wednesday and I'm just curious and want to ask now. I know for a fact, I have HPV because my boyfriend was diagnosed last week (he has genital warts) and I started to notice small white bumps all over my vagina. So my question is .. since I have the HPV that cause genital warts, can I still have a chance to develop cancer of the cervix? I was under the impression that certain types of HPV cause warts, while other causes of cancer. But today, my friend told me both against HPV do?

The fact that you have HPV does increase your risk of cancer of the cervix. All the best Oh and I forgot to take your anti-viral drugs if you're on one. More try Freezing / engraving / cutting warts so they do not spread to other parts of your body because they are very contagious.
