Is it true that herpes give you warts?

So yes. In my French class Jacy told me that his mother had a conversation with him and his mother said that herpes give you warts. And I thought … dosent give you herpes just marks on your face or areas genitile? Or dose, it gives you a wart as well. And by the way, I asked him dosent it just gives you the brands? And he said he would give you warts.

No, you're right, herpes does not give a person warts. lesions of herpes and warts are caused by two very different viruses. Warts are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). There are over 120 different types of HPV and some types can cause genital warts, warts on the hands and feet, warts on elbows and knees, and other places on the body. HPV is also responsible for virtually all cases of cancer of the cervix. Herpes causes large blister like sores. They can appear on the genital area (genital herpes) or on the lips and mouth area (herpes labialis). Visit the links below for more information about the two viruses: http://www.cdc.gov/std/Herpes/STDFact-Herpes http://www.cdc.gov/std/HPV/STDFact-HPV . htm. htm
