Pregnant with herpes?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and have recently genitle visible warts. My partner has been diagnosed with herpes when I was only 4 weeks of pregnancy. I was all clear. This means that the virus has recently increased a contract. I had to be induced next week, but I am now very worried. I will tell the midwife on Monday but in the meantime, does anyone have advice or knowledge on the subject?

So do you think it is herpes or genital warts? There is a big difference. If it lesion of herpes, it will be very sensitive, red, oozing, crusts over and then it goes away. A wart (or it could also be a tag of the skin) is usually non-tender, do not open and the vessel is usually the color of the flesh around it, and will not go away. If it is only a wart or skin tag, you will be able to deliver vaginally. If it really is a herpes lesion, chances are you'll need a Caesarean section if the injury is always present at the time of delivery. While there is medication (Valtrex) where women can take to accelerate the evolution of the lesion or prevent an epidemic of injuries, it usually takes a week or more to be on these drugs to see the desired effects, then this can be an option for you. Good luck!
