Skin cancer (removal of a mole)?

I have just had a mole removed and the results came back saying I would have to go back and have the scar opened and some more taken away. However my appointment for this is not until 20 Jan 2010. I would just like some general info on this and the overall outcome.
Also if anybody knows how much this would cost if I went private can you let me know please.

Just make another appointment and ask the GP to double check your skin. They make mistakes all the time, then try to cover them up.
