Bumps on mouth? Is it herpes?
Hey.
My friend came to school this morning with this awful mark on her lip. We asked her what happened and she told us her and her boyfriend had engaged in oral sex the night before. We immediately suspected herpes but we looked up pictures and they didn’t look the same. The bumps weren’t sticking out of the skin or anything. It honestly looks like a bunch of little cold sores.
I’m guessing that her boyfriend has never experienced any warts or bumps on his penis but I didn’t ask. Could it be herpes and what should she do?
Yes, I know that cold sores are a type of herpes but I didn’t know if she had genital herpes in her mouth O.o .. if that’s possible
And yes.. it was my friend -.-
I’m not one of those pathetic people that have to use ‘the friend’. And we tell eachother everything, so, it’s not unusual that she told me this..
Cold sores are a type of herpes. She would have not have gotten it from her boyfriend from the night before, incubation is anywhere from 3-10 days (at least not the night before, maybe before that)
She could have had the virus for many years, and it just lay dormat, most times it comes out because of stress or hormonal changes.
