Removing a mole on your body?

I have a mole on my armpit and it really bothers me. It is the mole on my body, which is large and sticks and I have to shave around it. I do not feel comfortable raising my arm when it is hot and Im wearing a tank top or a bikini. Should I remove it?? How much does it cost and is it painful during the procedure and / or after?
