How to cure a wart on the finger of a toddler?

My husband had a wart on his finger seed last year and shortly after it left my daughter has developed a well on his finger. She is 4 years and has not really complained about the wart until recently. I do have not dealt with until today because I had read that sometimes the creams and such it can be harmful for toddlers skin and even the salaries of doctors may be too severe. Does anyone have any experience with this and can offer suggestions to deal with his wart? Thank you in advance!
