How do you unpick tags from clothing without ruining the piece of clothing?
Not just tags. I’m also talking about those loop things that they put on the top hem of the shoulders of t-shirts that you are supposed to use to hang the shirts. Both drive me absolutely nuts. Call it sensitive skin or tantrums. I can’t handle them.
I can cut the tags and loops right down with scissors, as far as I can go to the hem or the place where they are sewn on to the clothing. That isn’t a problem. But then you often have the last little bit that’s sewn INTO the hem. And I’m scared that unpicking the hem to take that little bit of the tag/loop out will cause that bit of the hem to unravel. I’m pretty good with a needle and thread but I’m still scared.
So do I just leave that last little bit alone?
I usually just rip it all off.
