weird dry skin circle patch on my upper thigh?
So, I am going to the doc to check this out next week but thought someone would have some thoughts.
About 3 months ago I noticed a dry patch of skin that was pinkish on my upper thigh. I have watched it and it has now grown to a circular pink dry patch of skin. It isnt really raised, more flat and coarse. Now it is about the size of a quarter.
I immediately thought that it could be a sign of skin cancer because I have spent 26 out of my 29 years in Florida. I am irish and native american so I freckle and tan and I my parents never really sunscreened me as a kid. I would get 2-3 good burns and then I would darken quick.
I looked at pictures of skin cancer and most of them are like moles and dark, not like my pink patch. But I had read somewhere that there is a type that is a dry patch and it is super bad. I cant find any info on it tho online.
Anyhoo, anyone have something to say about this? info? anything?

I agree with KathyC – could be ringworm. Ringworm is actually a fungal infection and is:
1. Easily treated
2. Highly contagious.
Get yourself to a Dr and get it diagnosed properly.
