Can picking moles cause skin cancer?

I am very scared now. I am only 13 and over the past 5 years or so I have been picking a few moles – including one on my face, arm and top wrist. I am so scared now that I will get skin cancer and I’ll die. Can I get cancer? And if I go to the doctor will they cure me? I am very afraid :’(

No it does not increase the risk that they will undergo cancerous change. If you are concerned though let your GP check them.
