How can I get a skin tag to go away?
I have two skin tags under my arm near my armpit (And I'm a girl so I need to shave almost there) and has recently become very painful (I think I nicked or something). I want to get rid of it (I have several of these darn things, some in inconvenient places), but I can not stand the idea of cutting or tie a thread around it (the very thought gives me the jitters and makes me want to gag). How else can I get the stupid thing to come off? I heard one day that if you put duct tape on it long enough, it kind of 'kill' and it will either disappear or fall (I can not remember what is supposed to happen others that this will be gone). I know it can be frozen off by a doctor, but I think they charge a fair bit for that now (I live Ontario, Canada), so I prefer not to go that route if I can help. suggestions (not gross) would be great.
if quite small, just pinch them with nails, a bit like pulling teeth, just do it quickly. Could help put some ice on the area first to help reduce the sting. Then put some neosporin on it to avoid infection. I did this several times with the kids. Now, if they are larger, you may need to go to the doctor if it is interfering with your bra or something like that, the insurance may cover.
