Transmission Of Genital Warts

transmission of genital warts
HPV transmission?

i was diagnosed with hpv in october. i had no symptoms, but got a colposcomy w/biopsy in january. my results showed nothing to worry about. the man whom i originally contracted this from, started to show genital warts around november. to this day, i have not had any symptoms.

now i am worried that i am a carrier of some sort. is there a high chance i will give this disease (mostly concerned about the warts) to my current boyfriend whom i’ve been sleeping with for about a year now. he has no signs yet. does hpv weaken? does it act differently on certain immune systems?

Hpv can still be transmitted to your partner even if you carry no signs. Hpv can go dormate for months at a time and then reappear. You could have a strand of Hpv that doesn’t cause genital warts, maybe its a strand that cause cancer. With proper supervision of your doctor you can catch it in time. There have been cases where Hpv virus has cleared itself out of your system. The only way to be sure is to get tested each time.
